The Northeastern American Dairy Association is offering scholarships

Syracuse, New York The American Dairy Association North East offers two scholarships to college students who have completed one year of post-secondary education and are interested in farming, dairy marketing, dairy processing, agricultural communications, journalism, or dairy nutrition. Applications are due by December 31.

Applicants for the $500 Leo Briggs Memorial Scholarship – American Dairy Association North East Scholarship must have demonstrated leadership in the promotion of dairy products, and applicants for the $1,000 Dawn Houppert Memorial – American Dairy Association North East Scholarship must be Current or former Ambassador of Dairy Products or Dairy Princess of New York.

All applicants must be from one of the six states in the ADA’s Northeastern Region – New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey and Northern Virginia.

“These scholarships are an investment in the future of the dairy industry,” said John Cressman, CEO of ADA North East. “We encourage current and former dairy promoters from within the region who are interested in dairy products or agro-industry to apply.”

Completed applications must be submitted online and must include essay responses and a current college transcript.

Applications are available on AmericanDairy.com under “For farmers / scholarships and grants. Completed applications must be submitted online by December 31.
